This KFBB project was in collaboration with Fort Bend Green and the FBC Parks department. The Home Depot – Missouri City and Sherwin-Williams – First Colony generously donated all the supplies to accomplish this goal.

Textile Recycling

Fort Bend Green along with their Keep Fort Bend Beautiful committee are excited to announce that we are partnering with Green City Recycler and Fort Bend County Parks to bring textile recycling to Fort Bend County!

these convenient bins have been placed at 3 parks throughout the County (Jones Creek Ranch Park, Kitty Hollow Park and Four Corners Recreation Center).
If you have any textiles that you’re ready to part with but are not suitable for donation, please drop them in any of these bins!

Old shower curtains? Single shoes? Socks without friends? Old worn-out clothes? We want them all!

All donations will generate a rebate to be paid to Fort Bend Green for park beautification efforts! Help support our parks while also easing the burden on the landfill and caring for our earth! It’s a Win-Win-Win!

Fall Sweep

On Monday, September 4th the Keep Fort Bend Beautiful Committee organized a Fall Sweep clean up event which took place at Blueridge Park and Byrd Cemetery. Many community members came out to participate including the Fort Bend Black Heritage Society members and students from Foster and Terry High Schools. More than 500 pounds of trash and debris was removed from the two locations and some much needed maintenance was done around the properties. Fort Bend Green is a member of the Houston ToolBank which is funded for Fort Bend County Nonprofits by The George Foundation. The Houston ToolBank provided all the necessary tools for the Fall Sweep. The KFBB Committee would like to thank all the participants who came out to help Keep Fort Bend Beautiful!
